Strange to see this kind of ghetto advertising from a development solutions company that, I assume, wants to be taken seriously in SL. For in-your-face advertising….how about showcasing an excellent build here? The grand tower of rotating billboard blocks…that’s what land griefers do to offload a parcel quickly or pressure a neighbor into selling. In other words, not quite the positive reputation builder.

Dear Sir,
Why would you care if someone did this? Didnt they purchase the land? Can you stop your neightbors from putting things in thier yard? Or how they paint thier house? I believe this is all in fair practices and that putting people down for this is not right. I suggest you quit crying about what people do and offer to buy the land from them?! Stop bitching.. find something better to do with your time…

There are 5 other companies doing that on somerset….We have had work done by Designing Digitally Inc. and they are by far the best designers in SL hands down. They have over 10 employees working on modeling and textures and many of them have worked in the professional industry, so just because they put up some signs doesnt rate thier professionalism.. BTW - I looked at your building on Somerset.. Nice way to rip people off… build your own stuff next time..rookie.

@Tom - I care because one of the things I find appealing about SL is the creativity, community, and helpfulness that is displayed by the residents. When I see a litter of garbage in the form of “for sale” signs and rotating towers of advertising that shows neither creativity or community. And brother, it certainly isn’t helpful. Who would want to purchase land in a sim full of 16m annoying ad parcels? Hey, if I’m talking about your parcel here, knock yourself out buddy. Put whatever you want there. Just think about being a good neighbor, a considerate resident. If you don’t wish to be, fine, but don’t be too surprised if others hold their noses at annoying advertising.
@ Jamie - I’m sure that company does crackerjack work, although I’m not sure I’d recognize any of it. All I do remember seeing from them is a tall tower of rotating advertising blocks. What they’re advertising is that they don’t understand SL at all…they’re just pixel pushers. SL is a world of imagination. Why didn’t they showcase some of their work there? That’s a much better advertisement than what they ended up putting there, which was simply annoying.
And like I mentioned on BlogHUD, Tom/Jane/John, I’m merely an explorer. If you have a complaint about a build in Somerset talk to the owner. I own nothing there. And considering the blight of the neighborhood I probably never will.
